Water coming in?
Emergency roof repair in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda
A leak in the middle of a storm doesn't give you time to shop around. Call us at 941-456-7100. We'll work to stop the water and protect what's inside, then plan the real fix with you.
First, stop the water
When we get to you, the first job is to stop whatever is actively causing damage. That can mean tarping, sealing or stabilizing the area so your home holds until the permanent repair is done.
A temporary fix isn't a rushed patch to close the call. It's there to keep the water out through the night or the week, until the real repair is in place.
Then we trace the leak to where it's actually getting in. Water often shows up inside a long way from the spot that failed on the roof.
While you wait for us
- Move furniture, electronics and anything valuable away from the drip.
- Put down a bucket or towels to catch the water.
- If a ceiling is sagging with water, keep everyone out from under it.
- Don't go up on the roof during a storm or while it's wet.
- Take photos of the damage inside, so you have a record.
Why waiting costs more
Once water gets in, it spreads through insulation, framing and drywall before the first stain shows on the ceiling. Every hour it runs adds to the repair. Wet insulation stays wet, and wet wood starts to rot.
Stopping the water early is the cheapest part of the whole job.
Water near the lights?
If water is dripping near outlets, light fixtures or your electrical panel, stay clear of it. Turn off power to that part of the house at the breaker only if you can do it safely, or call an electrician. Then call us about the roof.
No inflated scopes. No made-up urgency.
A bad moment is the worst time to be oversold. You get the facts about your roof and a fair price, and the choice stays yours.

Straight answers in a bad moment
Emergency jobs attract crews that overcharge and oversell. We go the other way. Before we touch anything, we tell you what's causing damage right now, what can safely wait for daylight and what a real fix will cost.
Michael and Sandra built Roofs Only Florida as a local family company. When you call, you're dealing with the people whose name is on it.
After the emergency
Once things settle, we come back for a proper look. You get a Roof Health Report with photos, and we walk you through the permanent repair without pressure.
If a storm caused it, see storm damage roof repair for how we check the rest of the roof.
Emergency roof repair questions
How fast can you get here?
It depends on the day and how many calls are coming in, especially right after a big storm. When you reach us, we'll give you an honest answer on when we can be there, not a vague "as soon as possible."
What will this cost me right now?
It depends on what the storm left behind and what it takes to stabilize things. We go over the cost with you before we start, so you're not guessing while we're on your roof.
Will the temporary fix hold until the permanent repair?
That's what it's for. We tarp, seal and reinforce what needs it so the water stays out. Once things settle, we walk you through the full fix.
Will my insurance cover it?
That's up to your insurance company, and we won't promise what they'll decide. What we can do is photograph and write down what we find, so you have a clear record of the damage to show them.
