Metal roofs
Metal roofing in Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda
Strong sun, salt air and storm season test every roof on this coast, and a lot of homeowners here choose metal. We'll help you pick the right panel, color and profile for your home and your budget, and explain every step in plain language.
Standing seam or exposed fastener?
Standing seam panels hide the fasteners under raised seams. That means fewer weak points, a cleaner look and a tighter seal against wind-driven rain. It costs more than an exposed-fastener panel.
Exposed-fastener panels cost less up front, and the screws need checking and tightening over the years. The grade of the metal matters too. We'll lay the options out side by side so you can see what you're paying for.
Why people pick metal here
Coastal homes take a beating from salt, sun and storms. The right metal, installed the right way, holds its color, sheds heavy rain fast and stands up to that weather for a long time.
We help you choose the metal, the color and the profile that suit your house, so the roof looks good from the street and works hard on top.

Repairs and upkeep
Metal roofs need specific attention to stay sealed and free of corrosion. A lifted panel, a cracked seam or a rusted fastener each needs a different fix, so we look at it in person first.
Seam checks and fastener tightening keep small problems small, and they cost far less than fixing what gets ignored.

One note: Restore, our roof rejuvenation service, is for shingle roofs only. Metal roofs get repairs and upkeep instead.

Metal roofing questions
What goes into the price of a metal roof?
The panel type, the size of your home and how complicated the roofline is. Standing seam costs more than exposed fastener, and the metal grade matters too. We give you a clear quote built for your home.
What does a metal roof repair cost?
It varies with what failed, whether that's a lifted panel, a cracked seam or a corroded fastener. Each needs a different fix, so we see it in person before we quote.
Is standing seam worth the extra cost?
For many homes it is, because of the hidden fasteners and the cleaner look. For others, an exposed-fastener panel is the better value. We'll show you both prices and let you decide.
How do you price metal roof maintenance?
On what your roof needs at that visit. Some years that's a quick check of the seams and screws. Other years a few fasteners or a piece of trim need replacing. You see the price before we do the work.
Can a metal roof be rejuvenated?
No. Restore is for qualifying asphalt-shingle roofs only. A metal roof gets repairs and regular upkeep instead, and we can do both.
